Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · In effect since 9 July 2026 · Revised 23 July 2026 (section 16: public teacher pages and self-booking)
This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German "Nutzungsbedingungen".
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Lezio platform, its web application and mobile applications (together, "Lezio" or the "platform"). Lezio is provided by Maksim Nikolaev (also "we" or "us"); our postal address and contact details are set out in the Legal Notice (Impressum). By registering an account you enter into a user agreement with us on these Terms.
2. What Lezio does
Lezio helps teachers, students, guardians and schools organise tuition. The platform covers lesson scheduling and availability, balance and payment overviews, and communication between connected users. Lezio records payments that were made outside the platform; it does not process, hold or transfer money, and it is not a payment service.
3. Price, and changes to the service
We currently provide the platform free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future; these will be offered under separate terms and will bind you only after you have expressly accepted them. We may add, change, limit or discontinue features of the platform at any time.
4. Availability
We aim for stable, continuous operation, but we do not guarantee any particular level of availability. Maintenance, faults, capacity limits or changes to the platform may cause interruptions or temporary unavailability.
5. Your account
Using Lezio requires an account with accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account; tell us promptly at support@lezio.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. An account is created in one of two ways: by invitation from a teacher or school, in which case the inviting party confirms that it is entitled to invite you (in particular where a minor is involved), or by your own registration, in which case you confirm that you meet the age requirement.
6. Your content
Content you add to the platform – messages, attachments, profile details and similar – remains yours. You grant us the non-exclusive right, limited to what operating the service requires, to store and process this content and to make it available to its intended recipients. You warrant that you hold the rights needed for this content and that it does not infringe the rights of others.
7. Our intellectual property
Lezio itself, including its software, design, databases, brand, name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. For as long as these Terms apply, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or otherwise exploit the platform or any part of it, except where the law permits it or we have agreed otherwise in writing.
8. Acceptable use
When using Lezio you must not:
- post unlawful content or use the platform for unlawful acts;
- upload any depiction of child sexual abuse or other unlawful sexual content – we apply zero tolerance and report where the law requires;
- harass, threaten, or spread hate or discrimination;
- infringe the rights of others, including copyright, trade mark and personality rights;
- send spam or unsolicited advertising;
- use bots, scraping or bulk retrieval;
- reverse engineer, bypass or weaken security measures;
- otherwise misuse the platform or disrupt other users.
9. Reporting and moderation
The platform includes a reporting function. We do not monitor content in general and we do not read private messages without cause. When content is reported, we may view the affected content to the extent necessary, review it, and – where the law requires – pass it to the competent authorities. We may remove reported content. If it becomes necessary to prevent abuse, we may introduce automated checks in the future and will say so.
10. Guardian access
At the request of the student or the teacher, a guardian may be given read-only access to a student's lessons and balance. Access to the student's chat with the teacher is included only if the guardian expressly enables it, and the student is informed that guardian access exists and how far it reaches. This feature serves the protection of minors; the details are described in our Privacy Policy and the parental-access notice.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Lezio infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at support@lezio.app with enough detail to identify the content and your claim. We review valid reports and remove or block infringing content where appropriate. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
12. Third-party services
To run Lezio we use a small number of named third-party providers: for hosting, for sending email, and – only if a teacher enables it – for calendar synchronisation with Google or Microsoft. Their role and the related data processing are described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Suspension and termination
If you breach these Terms or the law, we may remove content and suspend or permanently end your access, in particular in the case of serious or repeated breaches. You may delete your account at any time. What happens to your data afterwards is set out in the Privacy Policy.
14. No warranty
We provide Lezio "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that any content or calculation displayed is accurate or complete. You use the platform on your own responsibility. This section does not limit our liability under section 15 or any rights you have under mandatory law.
15. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. In cases of ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual duty – one whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely – and then only for the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. As the platform is currently provided free of charge, the statutory reductions of liability for gratuitous services also apply.
16. Public teacher pages, self-booking, and future features
Teachers can publish an optional public page at a personal link (lezio.app/t/…) showing the profile details they choose for it – name, photo, headline, description, subjects, languages, lesson format and, only if enabled, city and rate – together with bookable free time slots. Publishing a public page is available only to teachers of full age (18+). Publication is strictly opt-in: nothing is public until the teacher explicitly publishes the page, and unpublishing takes effect immediately. Teachers are responsible for the content they publish and must hold the necessary rights to it; section 8 (Acceptable use) applies. A published page may be indexed by search engines by default; the teacher can disable indexing at any time.
Visitors can request a lesson through the page or, where the teacher enables it, book one directly – either after confirming their email address or via a single-use code link issued by the teacher. A booking made through the page creates a lesson entry with the teacher under these Terms; any payment happens outside Lezio, directly between teacher and student. A minor's details are never shown publicly.
We may offer further features in the future, such as directories of teachers and schools, a search function, and interfaces or integrations for advanced users. These do not exist yet and will be offered only under separate, updated terms.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms where legal or operational reasons require it. We will inform you of significant changes in a suitable way, and such changes may require your renewed acceptance. The version published here at the relevant time applies (see the version and dates above).
18. Governing law and final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules remain unaffected. If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. Contact: support@lezio.app.
